Women of Colonial- Era Communities
Ste. Genevieve, a French Creole settlement founded in the early 1700's is an intriguing, but not particularly well-known element of Missouri History. Women and girls from different backgrounds and socio-economic levels filled multiple roles that were vital to their families and their community. Come and experience a sampling of the parts that women played in daily life during the 18th century.
