Native American Art and Dance
We invite you to join us for Native American Art and Dance on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 & 5, 2024, at the El Malpais National Monument Visitor Center! This free event will run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm each day at our visitor center located at 1900 E. Santa Fe Avenue in Grants.
We welcome Native American artists from the surrounding area who will share their pottery, jewelry, weaving, sculpture, and more over this two-day gathering. Learn how the artists create their craft and how it connects with their culture. Many demonstrators will be selling their art, providing the opportunity to purchase directly from artists. The Pueblo Enchantment Dance group will perform several times throughout the day and artists will present talks at set times. Don’t miss Acoma flute player, Limbert Martinez, as he plays traditional and original pieces throughout the day.
