This quilt-along commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and falls on the first day of National Park Week!

Seasoned quilters and first-timers alike can bring their own materials or use park-provided fabric, thread, and needles to make a traditional quilt block as well as learn about the importance of quilting in Appalachian culture.

These casual gatherings are a chance to sit together, sew, ask questions, and enjoy the tradition behind quiltmaking.
