Candlelight Tour

Moores Creek National Battlefield

  • Free

Experience the Battleground as you have never seen it before.  This family friendly program will travel along the candlelit trail with stories of the early days of the American Revolution and of the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge. Plan to arrive around 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check-in.

Tours last approximately 45 minutes and depart from Patriot’s Hall every 15 minutes. The walking tour will take place over uneven terrain and finishes at the Visitor Center. Visitors will then be transported back down to Patriot’s Hall via a hayride.

The first tour is at 5:30 pm and the last tour departs at 8:30 pm. Tours are free, but you must make a reservation for a slot. For large groups (examples: church groups, scout groups, or any other large groups), we require each family to call and confirm their spot within the tour. To make a reservation, please contact the park at 910-283-5591. Spots go fast, so if you are interested in joining us for this special event, make sure to call the park as soon as tickets are available to reserve your spot. Watch the park website for the announcement of ticket release!
