The BioBlast Festival features ranger-led programs through the day and drop in opportunities.
Description
Join Cedar Breaks National Monument in celebrating all of the park's incredible wildlife at our annual BioBlast Festival, June 19 & 20. Programs are for visitors of all ages.
In addition to ranger led programs at North View Overlook, there will be a wildlife activity table at the overlook with furs, animal tracks, and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Saturday, the Southern Utah Museum of Art will host a children’s art activity focused on park birds at the Chessmen Ridge Overlook on Sunday, June 19, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Programs are conducted rain or shine, but may be cancelled due to lightning in the area or staff shortages. Please speak with a ranger at the Information Center or North View Fee Booth about daily program offerings.
There is limited seating at the North View Overlook. While temperatures are cool at high elevation, the affects of high elevation may not be immediately apparent. Please drink plenty of water and wear sun protection, the UV Index at the park in the summer is regularly in the "Extreme" category.
