The greatest strength of the Confederate Army of Tennessee in 1862 was its cavalry.  Troopers in gray gathered information, forestalled enemy attempts to penetrate their lines and inflicted heavy damage to the Union supply system. Join park rangers and volunteers as they present demonstrations of cavalry tactics and discuss how the successes and failures of the Confederate cavalry proved crucial to the ultimate outcome of the Battle of Stones River.

Demonstrations will take place at 11 AM and 2 PM.
