Join us at the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center on Saturday, August 9, from 10am to 12pm for a special birthday celebration for Smokey Bear! In partnership with the Friends of Fort Vancouver, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, and the local fire department, this family-friendly event will feature Smokey’s grand arrival on a fire truck, fun educational activities, and opportunities to learn about fire prevention and the history of firefighting. Don’t miss your chance to meet Smokey and celebrate his enduring message: "Only YOU can prevent wildfires!"
