Sweet and Sour: Victorian Valentines
Stop by the park’s Dry Goods Store exhibit from 11am – 1pm and enjoy sweet violin music. Drop in from 1-4:30 pm and learn how to make your own 19th century style valentine. Nineteenth century Valentines could be sweet or sour in sentiment. Sour ones, termed "Vinegar Valentines," mocked or made jokes. A vinegar card often put an end to perceived romantic sentiments that one person felt for another.
