On Saturday, September 26th, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the City of Page, and Glen Canyon Conservancy invite you to celebrate National Public Lands Day by joining our Shoreline Sweep, a community trash cleanup between Main Ramp and Swim Beach in Wahweap. We’ll meet from 9 to 11 a.m. at Main Ramp just past Lake Powell Resort.

Together, we’ll spend the morning picking up litter that has showed its dirty head as our beautiful lake drops in elevation. The route includes natural surfaces, deep sand, and uneven ground, so wear sturdy shoes. Trash bags, nitrile gloves, snacks, drinks, and some great swag will be provided! Please bring your own work gloves if you have them, along with plenty of water and sun protection.

Every bag filled makes a visible difference. By volunteering just a couple of hours, you’ll help keep our beaches clean, protect wildlife, and show pride in the public lands we all enjoy. Parking is available on the Ramp as well as the parking areas at the top of the ramp.
