Description

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area (National Park Service), among other partners, are co-sponsoring a four day fishing event at various locations along the Mississippi River in the greater Minneapolis/Saint Paul area.

Join MDNR, NPS staff, and volunteers on the river to learn about fish and fishing. All tackle, including rod/reel combinations, and bait will be provided. Typically at the Coon Rapids Dam, we catch a number of different species, including smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, bluegills, and catfish.

Fishing license requirements are waived for these event.

This particular program is located at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. Parking is available on either side of the river, but free on the west side. Meet at the fishing platforms on the west side of the dam.

Reservation or Registration: No
