What comes to mind when you think of the word “love”? What about the word “family”? Chances are those thoughts were shared by the Buffalo Soldiers.
In celebration of National Park Week, join Park Ranger Roger today for a free 45-minute program “Buffalo Soldiers: Love & Family”. Learn about the African Americans who served in the Army between 1866 and World War I and their families. Learn about how life in the military effected family dynamics. As well as how Buffalo Soldiers found love out west and started families.
