Querencia is a feeling of home, a place that embodies memories, where we want to return.
Querencia is a Spanish term that describes a deep connection to a place or community - it embodies a sense of home and belonging. With roots in Spanish and Latin American cultures, Querencia describes a sensation of nostalgia, longing, and love for a particular place or aspect of one’s life.
Sometimes it’s a physical place, sometimes it’s a memory, a person, or even a state of being. What’s your querencia? Is it found here in Valles Caldera National Preserve?
Join us in the Volcano Discovery Center on Saturday, 12/13, anytime between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to be interviewed about your love for Valles Caldera.
