Join Fort Pulaski National Monument in honoring the life and legacy of March Haynes with community partners and guided tours on Saturday, March 1st. Special programs for March Haynes Community Day will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM. This event is free to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Activities for all ages can be found throughout the historic fort, with information tables from local groups offering unique perspectives. Guided walking tours will leave from the Visitor Center and highlight the marsh and waterways which proved essential for discreetly ferrying freedom-seekers to Cockspur island. All other programs will take place inside historic Fort Pulaski.

March Haynes Day 2025 Program Schedule:

10:00 AM - Guided Walking Tour (meets at Fort Pulaski Visitor Center)

11:00 AM - Kingdom Kids Choral Performance and March Haynes Program with Rev. Marco George

12:00 PM - Souls Graffiti Performance

1:00 PM - Guided Walking Tour (meets at Fort Pulaski Visitor Center)

2:00 PM - Rooted Art Performance with Patrice

2:30 PM - March Haynes Program with Rev. Marco George

3:00 PM - Journey by Faith Program with Karen Wortham

Fees

Fort Pulaski is not charging an entrance fee for March Haynes Community Day.

March Haynes Community Day programs will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM. Historic Fort Pulaski will be open to the public from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and park grounds will be open until 5:00 PM.
