On the 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Santa Rosa Island join Ranger Casimer Rosiecki via livestream Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. CST on the original battlefield to learn more about this small but fierce fight.

Visit the original site of the battle 160 years ago where Confederates attacked and set fire to a US Army camp one mile east of Fort Pickens in Florida.

Outnumbered, the Federals retreated toward the fort. Federal reinforcements then counterattacked and pursued their enemy up the barrier island. The battle ended after the Confederates boarded ships and sailed for the mainland.
