Anza Trail Hike: Tubac to Tumacácori

Tumacácori National Historical Park

  • Every 2 weeks at 9:00 AM from February 02, 2019 to March 16, 2019
  • Fees apply

Join us for a ranger-guided walk through nature and history along the Anza Trail. The hike is 4 miles one-way, along the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail which parallels the Santa Cruz River. Participants meet at Tumacácori, ride a shuttle to Tubac, and hike back to the starting point. Bring layers, water, snacks, and footwear for all trail conditions.

** During periods when the trail between Tumacácori and Tubac is impassable, the shuttle will deliver hikers to the Palo Parado trailhead and the group will proceed north to the mission grounds. Trail length is still 4 miles and visitors should will still begin and end at the Tumacácori mission.
