Description

This National Trails Day, join Keweenaw National Historical Park Ranger Lynette for a guided outdoor walk that will give you a glimpse into a historic landscape formed of and by copper which dominates the Keweenaw Peninsula. Hiking along a portion of the North Country Trail, you'll start at Old Victoria's log cabins and see the ruins of the Victoria Mine and community.  After the hike, you'll also have an opportunity to partake in a pre-season tour of Old Victoria's log cabins! This event is completely free and open to the public. Expect about two hours for the complete experience.

The hike is approximately 1.5 miles along trails, two-track gravel roads, and paved roads. Wear sturdy and comfortable hiking shoes. Long pants and insect protection are recommended. Please bring your own supply of water as none is available at this site.

This guided hike is organized by Keweenaw National Historical Park, Peter Wolfe Chapter NCTA, and Old Victoria Restoration.
