The Final Blow: The Meuse-Argonne Offensive and the End of World War I
With the First World War threatening to drag into 1919, the United States joined its allies in a series of offensives along the Western Front to defeat the German Army. By coordinating with Britain and France, General John J. Pershing led millions of doughboys in a 47-day campaign that helped force the Germans to the negotiating table.
