Description

Fish with a Ranger: Lake Fanny Hooe

Tuesday, July 30 at 6:30 PM

Join us for a few hours of fishing at Lake Fanny Hooe, Fort Wilkins Historic State Park, Copper Harbor, Michigan. We will have a National Park Service Ranger from the Keweenaw National Historical Park on site to provide some historical information about the area and the Calumet Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club will bring the fishing poles, bait, and refreshments. Participants 16 years old and under do not need a fishing license. Staff will be available to assist and/or instruct young anglers. For those not interested in fishing the river, we will be offering a fun and informative fish casting game. This event is sponsored by the Calumet Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club, Keweenaw National Historical Park, the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Copper Country Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and the Michigan DNR through grant funding from the National Park Foundation.
