Entrance fees will not be charged in honor of Veterans Day.
Shenandoah National Park will welcome anglers from Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) to Byrd Visitor Center on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 9:00am to 4:30pm. PHWFF members will share fly fishing casting and fly-tying demonstrations as well as information on their program which serves wounded service members.
Many veterans have found camaraderie, connection, and healing in the company of fellow veterans through PHWFF. We are excited to invite veterans and all visitors to learn about the contemplative calm that can be found in fly fishing techniques.
