Description
Join us at Voyageurs National Park for International Observe the Moon Night!
Stop by the Rainy Lake Visitor Center for a special interactive student activity for Observe the Moon Night. Learn about how impact craters on the Moon reveal its violent past, discover how to find features on the Moon using binoculars, and more! These activities are great for K-5 students, but all ages are welcome.
Join us as we observe the Moon up close using our powerful 18”-mirror telescope to see features like craters deeper than the Grand Canyon and towering mountains. You will also have a chance to observe Saturn and learn about its fascinating moons.
Registration required for night activities only. Register at https://bit.ly/moon-night-9-14
