Celebrate National Public Lands Day by assisting Longfellow House-Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site with a day of family-friendly volunteer work to help maintain the almost 200-year-old garden! Volunteer alongside friends and neighbors and receive a free single-use National Park pass for your contribution. (Limited supply; first-come, first-served). Families with kids are encouraged to attend; kids' activities will be available as well.

This event will take place Saturday, September 24 from 10:00AM-2:00 PM with a break for lunch (bring your own) and lawn games! Meet us on the East Lawn to sign in and pick up garden supplies. Once you’re done for the day, go back to the sign-in spot to receive your NPLS free entrance voucher and other goodies! We will provide water, sunscreen, and bug-spray. The event will follow all current CDC and NPS COVID-19 safety guidelines. Drop-ins welcome, but we recommend signing up here: Volunteer Opportunity Detail.
