Description
September 11 National Day of Service is a day to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, through volunteer service. Each year, thousands of people across the country are inspired to do good around them, performing services like meal packing, park clean-ups, and tree planting, turning this tragic day into an opportunity to strengthen communities and inspire unity through volunteerism.
Join us from 9am-12pm on Thursday, September 8th, in the formal garden at Longfellow House - Washington’s Headquarters NHS in Cambridge, MA, for some light volunteer work to help maintain our almost 200 year old garden. We will also provide poetry to read and reflect on during the volunteer day.
