Join us for solar viewing at the "Queen of the Missions", Mission San José for the Annular Solar Eclipse.
Saturday, Oct 14th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
 
Free Solar Glasses while supplies last. Looking at the sun during an annular eclipse is unsafe without special-purpose solar filters. (Sunglasses do not count.)
 
Free family activities. Earn an exclusive Junior Ranger Eclipse Explorer badge!
 
Educational Presentations: The Science of Solar Eclipses.
20-minute presentation with an astronomer from the University of Texas at San Antonio's Curtis Vaughan Jr. Observatory at 9:30 am, 11:00 am, and 1:00pm.
 
Bring a water bottle. There will not be sale of food or drink.
 
In partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio's Physics and Astronomy program and the Curtis Vaughan Jr. Observatory.
