This virtual fun run will begin on Saturday 4/17 and end on Saturday 5/1. Participants can track their mileage on their excursions during this period (walking, biking, running, and hiking) and post their mileage and photos of their outing using #AnzaVirtualFunRun on Facebook or Intagram, or post directly on the Facebook event page.

¡Vayan subiendo! Everybody mount up!: This was the familiar call from Spanish Lt. Col. Juan Bautista de Anza to rouse the expedition members. Now it’s our call to you!
Join the Anza Virtual Fun Run...
Run, hike, walk or bike along your favorite trail in your local area. It can be anywhere you choose and for as many miles as you choose. To participate, click on "Interested" or "Going" on the Anza Virtual Fun Run Facebook event page. Beginning on April 17, add your mileage to the trek by posting your mileage and a picture of yourself during your excursion on the Facebook event page, or by simply using the hashtag #AnzaVirtualFunRun when posting on your own page or on Instagram.

We will add your mileage to the running tally that moves the Anza Virtual Fun Run team along the trail from Nogales, AZ to San Francisco, CA (over 1,200 miles!). You'll be able to watch the progress of the trek as we post updates and encouragement along the way.

This event will kick off on ParkRx Day during National Park Week. ParkRx Day encourages citizens to use parks and trails for recreation and wellness.
The virtual fun run begins April 17 and will end on May 1, 2021.
