Trails crisscross the slough, a slow-moving river, that forms the basis of the Everglades. Join a ranger to immerse yourself in the “River of Grass.” Be prepared for a walk-through waist deep water, muddy conditions, uneven terrain, and plenty of sawgrass. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Hiking poles are also required and will be provided (subject to availability). All participants must be older than 12 years old. Strenuous. 0.5-2 Miles |
