Description

Calling all birders, citizen scientists, morning people, lovers-of-sunrises, and anyone just looking for things to do outside! We need your help collecting data this spring.

On May 8th, we're hosting a Migratory Bird Day BioBlitz from (brace yourself) 6:00 am - 8:00 am. We wish birds slept in, too, but they insist on being active early in the morning (gettin' those worms!). We'll have complimentary coffee and donuts for blitzers starting at 5:30 am to get the blood going.

Don't know birds? Not a problem! All you have to do is photograph every bird you see in the Monument and upload it the iNaturalist page for this event (the link will be provided that day). That's it! The iNaturalist community and our own biologists can go in later and identify them.

Reservation or Registration: Yes

RSVP if you're interested so that we know where to plan on sending people in the Monument to get the best data (and how much coffee to make!): 507-825-5464 ext. 214.
