Date: Wednesday, July 9th
Time: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Join NPS park rangers for a Full Moon Hike!
We’ll explore Mt. Wanda and learn about the moon as it rises over the hills. On the way up the hill, we'll learn about crepuscular animals.
Meet at the Mt. Wanda Trailhead parking lot on the corner of Alhambra Ave and Franklin Canyon Road in Martinez.
Bring water, a flashlight, layered clothing, and bug repellent. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the trail is dirt, uneven, and sometimes steep.
We will hike 1 mile to the summit (500-foot elevation gain) and 1 mile back to the parking lot. 2 miles round trip. No bathrooms or drinking water are available at the trailhead.
