  • Every day at 10:00 AM from May 23, 2026 to May 24, 2026
  • Free

Join us Memorial Day weekend for a U.S. Military History Timeline featuring firing demonstrations and living historians. Interpreters will display the arms, equipment, and personal effects of U.S. soldiers across generations, with uniforms, weapons, and artifacts spanning from the Revolutionary War through World War II.

From 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, living historians will present a U.S. Military History Timeline on the front lawn of the Shiloh Battlefield Visitor Center. These engaging programs will showcase and interpret arms, uniforms, and equipment used by American soldiers through the years. Visitors are encouraged to interact with living historians to gain a deeper understanding of the military experience across generations.

Highlighting the weekend will be live firing demonstrations showcasing a variety of shoulder arms used by American soldiers across multiple conflicts. These demonstrations will take place on both Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

This is a signature Freedom 250th event at Shiloh National Military Park.
