Join historian Richard Howe for a Lowell Walks: "North Common and the Acre" on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 10 am.  Throughout Lowell's history many immigrant communities have called the Acre home.  Lowell National Historical Park is excited to share some of their stories both through this program and in our new exhibit One City, Many Cultures opening this fall.

Participants can plan to meet at the Murkland Elementary School at 350 Adams Street, Lowell for this 90-minute tour. 

Lowell Walks is a series of guided walking tours of Lowell. The series seeks to support community voices as they share their historical knowledge, experiences, and unique perspectives on a diverse range of topics that shape the city of Lowell's past, present, and future. Tours are about 90 minutes, are free, and include a moderate amount of walking. No reservations are necessary, and tours are conducted rain or shine.
