Join Ranger Connie at Painted Canyon trail for a 4.2-mile guided hike exploring the Geological History of Theodore Roosevelt National Park starting at the beginning... the very beginning. Discover how the Big Bang, the death of the dinosaurs, and the Little Missouri River have created the North Dakota Badlands. 

This moderate 4.2-mile hike (442ft elevation gain) has lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing what you’ll see next.

Dress for the weather, wear close-toe shoes, and carry plenty of water. Sunscreen, hats and bug spray recommended.
