Description
Wander through the creosote and beavertail cactus communities and view the wetlands of Las Vegas Bay into Owl Canyon. Birds of prey have been spotted in this canyon in the past. Explore down a winding wash with multiple signs of wildlife. Return cross-country as you traverse the desert back to the trailhead. This is a strenuous five-mile round trip hike. Bring hiking poles.
February 28 at 8:30am meet at the Alan Bible Visitor Center to caravan to the trailhead. Hike will be approximately 3 hours long. Bring at least 3 litres of water.
