Description

Biscayne National Park's Park After Dark series will soon be welcoming back two of its most popular events. Songs and Stories of Our National Parks will return on February 17, and the Biscayne Story Slam returns on March 16. Both events take place at 7:00 pm on the front lawn of the Dante Fascell Visitor Center, 9700 SW 328 Street, nine miles east of Homestead. The events are free and open to all. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, as well as a picnic dinner. There will be a campfire, s'mores, and telescopes.

Songs and Stories of Our National Parks is a collaboration between South Florida's Historian in Song Grant Livingston and retired National Park Ranger Gary Bremen. Together they share funny, poignant and deeply personal stories about national parks that leave audiences wanting to go out and create their own memories in America's most inspiring places. Though created at Biscayne National Park in 2016, the program has since traveled to national parks from California to Florida and the Great Lakes to Texas.

This event is made possible through the generous support of The Alliance for Florida's National Parks.
