Kolb Studio is located in the Historic District of Grand Canyon Village, just west of Bright Angel Lodge, and near Bright Angel Trailhead. The historic, sprawling, 5-story and 23-room Kolb Studio is perched right on the rim of Grand Canyon.

Description
Plein Air Painting - September 10-16, 2022 - Grand Canyon Celebration of Art
Artists will be working at various locations around the South Rim painting outdoors, "en plain air." Park visitors and residents will have the opportunity to watch them paint as they seek to represent the shifting light and shadow, amazing landforms, and extraordinary colors of this vast landscape. Most artists prefer to paint mornings and evenings when the canyon is most vibrant.
Please practice physical distancing while observing the artists and respect their space. A schedule of artist locations on a given day should be available at the South Rim Visitor Center.
