This is an ongoing dig that is open to the public between the hours of 11am and 3pm.
Description
The archeological story of Monocacy National Battlefield is varied, covering native peoples, early settlers, the enslaved, and of course the battle. Learn how National Park Service archeologists literally sift through layers of history to piece together the stories of the past. This will be an active archeological dig, with the opportunity to participate.
