Come meet and greet with historian, author and archivist Linda Barnickel tomorrow, June 7, 2019, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The presentation will be located at the park’s visitor center auditorium from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM; book signing in the visitor center lobby from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
Linda will be presenting and discussing her book, “Milliken’s Bend: A Civil War Battle in History and Memory.” This comprehensive and insightful presentation will discuss one of the most unique aspects of the Vicksburg campaign and how African American soldiers proved to the world they would fight for their freedom.
