Guilford Courthouse National Military Park seeks volunteers to help with a big project: a biodiversity study of our park’s waterways!
Over the weekend of September 12 and 13, 2026 citizen scientists can assist the National Park Service and the Deep River Riverkeeper by helping us identify species that live in our creeks and springs. This project will help the park update our long-term species catalog for future park natural resources planning. Plus, you'll receive a special sticker for your hard work! Anyone 16+ years old and able to walk through wooded areas and creeks may participate.
Whether you have a niche interest in macroinvertebrates, freshwater wildlife, or just love being outdoors, we encourage you to join us!
