Description

A special lecture at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine located at 48 East Patrick Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701.

Ranger Avery will be speaking on the aftermath of Jubal Early's 1864 incursion into Maryland with his talk: “The Lingering Threat: The Aftermath of Early’s Raid on Washington, July 1864”.

This will look into Early's retreat into the Shenandoah Valley and the continued fighting in that region prior to General Sheridan's 1864 Valley Campaign beginning.
