Description
The Acadian Cultural Center is holding a special art exhibition featuring Cora Rose Nimtz, a southern-born artist currently residing in New Orleans, LA.
Using the naive style of southern folk art, playful color palettes capture everyday objects. The emotional connection to the culturally relevant objects is explored by modernizing traditional fiber techniques. These thread paintings are created with only fabric and thread, both new and salvaged.
