This program looks at how Tribal Nations in Michigan lead their communities today. We discuss self‑government, treaty‑reserved rights, environmental care, and partnerships with parks and towns. The focus is on real, everyday work of Tribal Nations shaping life in Michigan.
This program is taught by Anishinaabe historian Eric Hemenway.

This program lasts approximately one hour. Be sure to enter the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive 15-20 minutes prior to the program to allow for travel congestion on the drive. Seating is available at picnic tables. Visitors are welcome to bring their own chairs or blankets.
