Description
How can the forest floor inspire more sustainable carpeting? What can batwings teach us about constructing stronger umbrellas? How can humidity-powered seeds help engineer interplanetary probes? Join Adelheid Fischer for "Biomimicry: Learning from Nature," a presentation on how nature is inspiring human innovation. Fischer, a writer and educator at Arizona State University, has pioneered curricula and special projects in biomimicry that introduce students to the use of biology as a means of sustainable innovation in architecture, design, business and engineering.
