Description

Welcome to our Fishing Discovery event "Keweenaw Invasive Species Management Area (KISMA)". Learn about what KISMA does and how you can help to control invasive species in your community. Join us for a walk and learn to identify different invasive species. Discover what they are, why they are invasive, and what you can do to stop their spread. This free event is open to all ages.

This educational program is sponsored by the Calumet Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club, Keweenaw National Historical Park, Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, and Keweenaw Invasive Species Management Area (KISMA) through a Junior Angler Fishing Grant from the National Park Foundation. Refreshments will be available.

Following the discussion, attendees are invited to join us for an afternoon of fishing at Swedetown Pond. See our Fish with a Ranger event listing for more details
