Description
Join Greg Biggs, Brigadier General Ulysses S. Grant a.k.a Dr. Curt Fields, and Park Rangers as we travel along an almost two-mile course of the Confederate charge and the breakout attempt of February 15, 1862.
What occurred during this infamous attack? What resulted from the events of the Campaign for Forts Henry and Donelson? Be part of a discussion whether the “breakout” was a lost opportunity for the Confederates or one of the great “blunders” of military leadership during the Civil War?
Participants should be ready to follow the caravan using their own personal vehicles. Please meet in the parking lot at the Stewart County Public Library in Dover. Bring snacks and water for your enjoyment.
