Enslavement and the Underground Railroad in Missouri and Illinois by Author Julie Nicolai

Local St. Louis historian, Julie Nicolai has been studying the Underground Railroad in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas for more than 25 years. Her new book, Enslavement and the Underground Railroad in Missouri and Illinois details the horrors experienced by people enslaved in Missouri, as well as their stories of courage and perseverance, and is available in the park bookstore. The program is free and will take place in the theater in the Visitor Center. No reservations are required.

 The book is available for sale in the park's bookstore.
