Nēnē Awareness Day Activities

Join park biologists to celebrate the nēnē (Hawaiian goose) Saturday September 26 with drop-in style activities on the lawn of Haleakalā Headquarters Visitor Center. Learn how park biologists monitor, protect, and care for the nēnē and explore their cultural significance and importance through talks, demonstrations, games and crafts! 

Tents and activities will be set up on the lawn from 10 am to 2 pm! 

This event is subject to cancellation in the event of bad weather.

A fee is required to enter the park but the event is free!

Location

Haleakalā Headquarters Visitor Center is one mile beyond the Summit District Entrance Station.
