American beech trees are vital to New England forest ecosystems and over the past century, beech bark disease has impacted the population. During this in-person workshop, we will learn from forester Bill Musson about the impact beech trees have on the ecosystem and will hike to a site in Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHP where beech is being treated to see some of the management practices that the park has deployed.
