Description
The "Lights of Peace" Harbor Illumination has become an annual event on Saturday evening of the park's Historic Weekend celebration. Sponsored by the Friends of Perry's Victory, the Perry Group, flares are setup on the park's seawall and the shorelines downtown and on Gibraltar Island.
Dozens of volunteers light the flares and the resulting illumination is a spectacular sight. Flares are sold by the Perry Group for $10. Purchasers can dedicate their flare(s) to commemorate a special event, honor a friend or family member, or to just be part of the event.
