Jim Gray presents, “An Evening on the Old Salt Road”

Noted historian and writer Jim Gray commemorates the trail that connected the Smoky Hill Trail to Cow Creek Crossing on the Santa Fe Trail and provides a history of the trail that passed by the location of present-day Geneseo. Events will include: Reenactors representing the hunting camp of Smoky Hill Thompson, a local frontiersman; Kansas frontier music by Zerf (Dave Zerfas) along with a camp stew and biscuit feed. 

This event is hosted by the Quivira Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association
