Description
Join rangers for a moderate, 1.5 mile round trip hike to the old site of Rattlesnake Lodge. We’ll explore the lush forest that thrives there today and visit the remains of Dr. Ambler’s famous Rattlesnake Lodge to learn what life was like at his mountain retreat.
Meet at the dirt pull-off by the southern entrance of Tanbark Tunnel, Milepost 374.4.
Bring water, wear good walking shoes, and be prepared for changeable weather.
