The Halprin Factor

Many of America’s greatest landscape architects participated in creating the National Mall and Memorial Parks.The late Lawrence Halprin (July 1, 1916 - October 25, 2009) was one of them. Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, which he called “the apotheosis of all that I have done,” shows why he falls into this elite group of artists.
