Guided Walk: Forest Loop Trail

Meet at the Glacier Bay Lodge front porch. 90 minutes, one mile, easy. Walk with a ranger to track the “footprints” left by a glacier and discover hidden stories of Glacier Bay’s forests and shore. Note: a self-guiding walk is available at any time using the free NPS App.

Location

Meet on the Glacier Bay Lodge Front Porch. The walk follows the trail from the lodge, down the hill to the Visitor Information Center (VIS), across the parking lot, down to the trail for the campground. From there, the Forest Loop Trail ducks into the woods and circles back to the lodge, where your walk will finish.
